The majority of our work revolves around family companies whose management expect, in addition to a statutory audit and/or accounts preparation, expert advice on a whole range of corporate finance, taxation planning and general business matters. PartnersFrank Medina, JP FCCA FFB Frank was educated at St Illtyd’s College, Cardiff. He qualified as an accountant in 1974 and held a number of senior posts in both the public and private sector. In 1990 he established the practice with a view to developing an independent firm to provide quality financial services to clients throughout the South Wales Area. As well as being a Fellow of the Institute of Certified and Chartered Accountants he is also a Fellow of the Faculty of Building. Being the Senior Partner, Frank is responsible for advising clients on business strategy, development, taxation and succession planning.
Peter Lynch BA FCA FCCA Peter obtained a BA Hons degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham in 1972 before qualifying four years later as a Chartered Accountant. After a number of posts within industry he returned to Cardiff in1982 where he worked as a sole practitioner. In 1994 he joined Frank Medina in partnership and became a member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. Apart from general practice work, Peter specialises in assisting clients with government grant applications and loan funding, an area in which the practice has been extremely successful.Steven Edwards BA (Hons) FCCA AIMC Steven graduated with an honours degree in Accounting from the University of Wales in 1995, before qualifying with the ACCA in 1998.He spent 10 years with one of South Wales’ oldest independent firms, progressing from Accounts Junior to Associate Director within 6 years. Whilst there he specialised in working with owner managed businesses and performing audit assignments.Steven joined Medina Lynch as a Partner in 2005. Gavin Watkins BSc (Hons) FCCA Gavin obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales in 1998 before qualifying four years later as a Chartered Certified Accountant. After a number of years working for some of the largest practices in Wales, he joined Medina Lynch as a partner in July 2007, where his youth and enthusiasm are reflected in his proactive service to his clients. Gavin has vast experience in preparing accounts for charitable organisations and limited companies.ManagersSamantha Davies - Practice Manager Samantha joined Medina Lynch in 2004 and has many years experience dealing with limited company accounts and audits. She is a qualified accountant and combines her role of managing the office with servicing an extensive client portfolio. Jonathan Rees - Client Manager Jonathan also joined Medina Lynch in 2004 from a large practice in London. Jonathan has over 10 years experience in practice dealing with a range of limited company accounts and audits. He is also our resident Sage expert and provides Sage training and consultancy to clients. |
